Top priced ram at the Kurralea on property Poll Dorset and White Suffolk sale was the lot 1 Poll Dorset ram, K589/05. It sold to Ian Kyle, Ashley Park, Bairnsdale, Victoria (centre) for $14,000; and is being held by Kurralea principal Jim Prentice, with auctioneer Michael Glasser, Elders Stud Stock Manager, Victoria and Riverina (left).

Jim Prentice, Kurralea principal, Ariah Park, NSW holds Kurralea 126/05; the Supreme All-breeds Champion ram at the recent Melbourne Royal Show that sold for the White Suffolk sale top of $7,000, via Auctions Plus to GD & GB Huxtable, Kaniva, Victoria.

 


Key flock ram buyers at the Kurralea sale were Condobolin based agent Greg Moncrief (who bought 20 rams in total for several clients); Robin Jackson, Lake Repose Partnership, Glenthompson, Victoria (10 White Suffolk rams); Sophie & Ben Prentice, Kurralea, Ariah Park, NSW; and Angus Girle, Livestock Manager, Fletcher International, Condobolin (63 rams in total).

Jim Prentice, Kurralea Poll Dorset & White Suffolk studs, Ariah Park, NSW, holds the ram he sold for a new Poll Dorset on-property record price of $26,000. With the ram is Kevin Moore, Penrise stud, Campania, Tasmania, one of the purchasing syndicate of the Gererdan, Punchgrove & Penrise studs.

 

Ben Prentice, Kurralea, holds the second top priced ram at the Kurralea sale. It sold for $21,000 to a WA partnership of Bruce Buswell, Mt Barker, & KJ & EJ Bushby, Lake Grace, bidding by phone through Elders Wagga agent Colin Weissel (centre), while Kurralea principal Jim Prentice (right) looks on.

 

Kevin Moore, Penrise stud, Campania, Tasmania, & Jim Prentice, Kurralea, Ariah Park, NSW, hold the ram that sold for a new record on-property price for Poll Dorset rams, at the Kurralea sale. Kevin was one of the buying syndicate.

Colin Weissel, Elders Wagga (centre), bought the top priced White Suffolk stud ram at the Kurralea sale for Bruce Buswell, Mt Barker, WA. The ram is held by Ben Prentice, while Jim Prentice looks on.

 

Robin Jackson, Lake Repose Partnership, Glenthompson, Victoria (right) was a major White Suffolk flock ram buyer at the Kurralea sale, purchasing 10 rams in total. He is with Kurralea principal Jim Prentice.
Stuart Murdoch, FS Falkiner, Deniliquin, checks off his buying numbers with Elders agent & auctioneer James Tierney. Stuart put a very solid floor in the sale purchasing 46 Poll Dorset & 21 White Suffolk flock rams.
